ToolSelectLab is an independent informational website. It does not offer accounts, checkout or a contact form. This policy describes current practice. It is not legal advice.

Information we collect

If you email us, we receive the address you write from and the contents of your message. We use that information to reply and, where needed, to keep a short record of the conversation.

We do not ask you to create a profile, and we do not take payments on this website. We do not sell personal information.

Server and log information

When a page is requested, the provider that hosts this website may automatically process technical information such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, the time of the request and a referring address. Those logs are used to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the site. ToolSelectLab does not use them to build advertising profiles.

Cookies

This website does not currently set its own analytics or advertising cookies. We have not installed marketing pixels. The hosting platform may use a strictly necessary technical cookie if one is required to deliver or protect the site. If non-essential cookies are added later, this policy will be updated first.

Analytics

Analytics services are not currently used. They may be added later. If that happens, this policy will be updated to name the service and explain what it collects before, or at the time, it is switched on.

Affiliate links

Some links go to third-party product pages. If you use an affiliate link, the seller or affiliate network may record that the visit came from ToolSelectLab so a commission can be attributed. We may learn that a qualifying purchase was associated with a link. We do not receive your payment card details.

Third-party websites

Links leave ToolSelectLab. The other site controls what it collects, which cookies it sets and how it uses that information. A link is not an endorsement of that site’s privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.

Data retention

Email is kept only for as long as it is needed to respond and to keep a brief record of the enquiry, then deleted or reduced. We do not run a separate customer database. Hosting logs are kept by the hosting provider for its own operational period.

User rights

If you are in the United Kingdom, UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 provide rights over personal data that we hold. Depending on the request, these can include the right to be informed, to access your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict processing, to object to processing, and to data portability.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how your information is handled. We aim to reply to a reasonable request within one month, or to tell you if we need longer.
